Upholstery Cleaning

There are some upholstery fabrics that are very delicate to clean. Delicate types include velvet, wool, silk, linen, and chenille. One drawback of having high value upholstery with delicate fabrics is the fact that it can be ruined when cleaned improperly. It is very important that you perform the proper way of cleaning upholstered furniture, especially those that are very old and use delicate fabrics.

There are several things you can do to clean or maintain your delicate upholstery. Here are some tips for delicate fabric cleaning for you.

Regular vacuuming is important to do in order to remove dust and dirt. When dust and dirt accumulate in your furniture, they can ruin the fabric. Vacuuming can also remove discoloration of your upholstery.

You can clean the fabrics using safe foam extraction product. This is a method that can clean vintage or fragile fabrics. As a warning, however, you must test the cleaning agent on a hidden spot of your upholstery before using it on the entire furniture. This is to make sure that it is safe to use. Rub the foam extraction liquid into the fabric and then use a towel to remove as much of the dirt and dust and press the towel lightly but firmly against the fabric to remove any kind of staining.

Mattress Cleaning
