John Byrnes is the Principal of John Byrnes & Associates (Legal) Pty Ltd. John holds Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Law degrees, both obtained from the University of Sydney, and was admitted as a solicitor to the Supreme Court of NSW in November 1978.

With many years of experience as a qualified and practising solicitor, John operates as a sole practioner. His firm has two offices, one in Sydney's inner-west at Five Dock servicing metropolitan clients and the other at Morisset servicing clients from the Hunter and Central Coast regions. He is assisted by experienced, reliable and extremely 'client-friendly' paralegals and support staff. The firm operates as a general legal practice, taking instructions across the broad spectrum of law, but specialises in various litigation proceedings including criminal law, family law and all forms of civil litigation. John has a lengthy history in personally appearing for and representing clients at various Courts and Tribunals throughout NSW.
